Choosing His Path

It was prophesied over my life that I would return to school to become a ‘doctor’. For the prophecy to be fulfilled, I had to do my part in praying and diligently seeking God’s voice. In mid 2020, during the course of the pandemic, I began to research schools available to pursue my chosen degree. Liberty University quickly became a school of high interest to me. Looking further into the program and considering the need to travel, I lost interest in Liberty and began to look for programs local to SC. I left the application for Liberty incomplete for over 18 months, and I began the application process with a prominent university in South Carolina. I began seeking God, and even asked my family to fast and pray with me. I interviewed with the university, only to be denied the acceptance. Immediately after reading their response, I knew that the original choice was the right choice from the start. I picked back up where I left off, and completed the application for Liberty University in May 2022. I received an acceptance letter within weeks. A few short months later, I began my prerequisite courses in the Fall of 2022 and officially started my Ph.D. journey in January of 2023. It was up to me to hear from the Lord. He had already ordered my steps and Liberty University was always a part of His plan.
